Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will organize a written examination for Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer posts on 17 April 2016. Earlier It had invited applications to fill these 185 posts via its website isro.gov.in. The selection process consists of written examination.

For Junior Personal Assistant and stenographer posts, candidates have to appear for written
test. Based on that, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test in English Stenography @ 80 w.p.m. to be conducted after 4 months of result declaration, the schedule and venue of which will be notified later.
Those who got selected, will be given pay band of `.5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/- (Rs. 21,703/- p.m).

The written test is to be held at seven venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. The admit cards for the said examination are going to be available around 1-10 April 2016 and they are required to be brought in each of these centres to get entry on the exam date.
The written examination consists of multiple choice objective type. Candidates need to obtain minimum 50% marks each in both objective and descriptive type for passing the written test. There will also be a typing test for JPA and Steno posts.
