Appointed candidates is placed in the scale of Rs. 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). 

The salary increases as the basic pay and DA increases over the years.

Candidate will be provided various allowances based on basic pay i.e. D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules. The rate of these allowances vary from time to time. SBI had increased the basic pay and other allowances for Probationary officer posts over the years.

Job Profile :

The selected probationary officers will be liable to serve anywhere in India. First the newly absorbed probationary officers probation period is of two years that consist of training. Near the end of probation/training period, there will be a screening process for placement in the higher grade i.e., Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II. Those candidates who qualify in the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in MMGS-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

Joining, Training & Career Path

A online course is to be completed by the new candidate consisting of basic banking knowledge before joining. At the time of joining, Rs. 2 lac bond is to be executed by the candidate for serving the bank for minimum 3 years. Joining candidates will be placed as Probationary Officer with 2 years probation.
