ICAR Assistant Salary 2024 IARI Pay Scale

IARI under administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will conduct CBT exam to select candidates for Assistant posts.

For posts in ICAR Headquarters, Rs. 44900 is the starting basic pay. Various allowances like DA, HRA etc. are to be added to this basic pay to find out total salary.

After deducting NPS and other taxes from total salary, Candidate is given Net in Hand salary as mentioned below.

ICAR Assistant Salary 2024 per month (Headquarters)

• Pay Scale: 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay 4600) : Rs. 44900-142400
• Starting basic pay: Rs. 44900 per month
• Last basic pay on this post: Rs. 142400
• Starting Total Salary after addition of all allowances to starting basic pay: Rs. 65100-75800 per month
• Deductions (NPS @ 10% of basic pay + DA and other taxes): Rs. 5200
• In Hand Salary per month: Rs. 59900-70600 per month

Assistant Salary at ICAR Research Institutes & Pay Scale

• Pay Scale: 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay 4200) : Rs. 35400-112400
• Starting basic pay: Rs. 35400 per month
• Last basic pay on this post: Rs. 112400
• Starting Total Salary of Assistant (ICAR Institutes): Rs. 52400-60500 per month
• Deductions (NPS @ 10% of basic pay + DA and other taxes): Rs. 4000
• In Hand Salary per month: Rs. 48400-56500 per month

Allowances rates:

• Dearness Allowance: 42% of basic pay
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) : 9 to 27 percent of basic pay depending on city of posting. HRA will be 27% of basic pay for metro cities (Class-X cities), 18% of basic pay for cities with population between 5-50 lakh (Class-Y cities) and 9% for areas with population below 5 lakh. Minimum HRA will be Rs. 5400, Rs. 3600 and Rs 1800 for X, Y and Z cities respectively.
• Other Allowances includes Travel Allowance, CCA if applicable.
