Agniveer Salary in Indian Army Navy IAF under Agnipath Scheme

Union Cabinet of India has approved an attractive recruitment scheme called ‘Agnipath’ for Indian youth to serve in Indian Armed Forces (Navy / Army / Airforce). Selected candidates will be called as Agniveers. Huge number of Agniveer posts are to be filled in these forces. These candidates will be engaged for a period of 4 years.

These candidates will be given an attractive customised monthly package. They will also be entitled for Risk and Hardship allowances as applicable in the three services.

During 1st year of service upon appointment, Total Salary Rs. 30000 per month (plus applicable allowances) is to be given. After deducted 30% amount from total salary for sevanidhi package, Net In hand Salary will be Rs. 21000 per month. From 2nd year, Total Salary will become Rs. 33000 out of which Net Salary will be Rs. 23100 per month.

Total contribution of candidate to Agniveer Corpus Fund (30%) in 4 years will become Rs. 5.02 lakh and total contribution to
corpus fund by Govt of India in 4 years will be Rs. 5.02 Lakh. So total amount (with interest) to be given will be 11.71 Lakh as sevanidhi package after exit.

No Pension is to be given after retirement from 4 years service. Candidate will be given total amount of Rs. 11.71 Lakh under Sevanidhi Scheme in which Candidate’s contribution is 30% of Total salary of the month and Government’s contribution is also 30% (same contribution as from Salary).

Salary in 1st year: 

  • Total : Rs. 30000 per month plus Applicable Allowances
  • Net : Rs. 21000 per month + Allowances

Salary in 2nd year: 

  • Total : Rs. 33000 per month + Allowances
  • Net : Rs. 23100 per month + Allowances

Salary in 3rd year: 

  • Total : Rs. 36500 per month + Allowances
  • Net : Rs. 25580 per month + Allowances

Salary in 4th year:

  • Total: Rs. 40000 per month + Allowances
  • In hand : Rs. 28000 per month + Allowances

Total Salary shown above will also include applicable allowances as decided by the GOI from time to time. However No DA or MSP will be paid as it is a composite package.

  • Travel allowances .

Benefits:

  • Total Amount to be given as Seva Nidhi Package after 4 years service (one time): Rs. 11.71 Lakh
  • 25% of Agniveer candidates will be enrolled in regular cadre of Armed forces.
  • 48 Lakh non-contributory Life Insurance Cover
  • Additional Ex Gratia of Rs. 44 Lakh for death attributable to service
  • Disability compensation : On time Ex Gratia of Rs. 44/25/15 lakh for 100%/75%/50% disability respectively.
  • up to 30 days leaves per year
  • Medical facility, Canteen facility
  • 10% reservation in Assam Rifles, CAPFs, Coast Guard, Defense PSU

About Seva Nidhi Package:
After four years service, Agniveers will be paid one time ‘SevaNidhi’ package. The total amount that will be given in this package is Rs. 11.71 Lakh. SevaNidhi package shall comprise their contribution (30% of Total Salary) including accrued interest thereon and matching contribution from the Government equal to the accumulated amount of their contribution including interest.

There will be no income tax on sevanidhi package. Also there will be no gratuity and pensionary
benefits. Agniveers will be provided non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs 48 lakh during their service in the Indian Armed Forces.
