Chandigarh Police Constable Recruitment 2023 for 700 Posts

Chandigarh Police has released recruitment advertisement for 700 Temporary posts of Constable (Executive) (Group C) having Pay scale of Central Pay Level-3 (Revised) as per 7th CPC plus allowances. An applicant shall be 12th pass with valid driving license. Those who are interested and satisfying the eligibility criteria, can submit their online form from 27 May to 17 June 2023 through official website chandigarhpolice.gov.in. 
An OMR based written examination will be conducted to shortlist candidates for Physical Efficiency and Measurement Test (PE&MT). Dope test of all candidates will be done before PE&MT. The physical test will check candidate’s height, chest, high jump, Long jump, race etc. abilities as per requirements. Educational Qualification:

  • 12th class or equivalent
  • Driving Skills: Valid driving license for two-wheelers and 4 wheelers
  • Basic Knowledge of Computer skills

Selection criteria:

  • OMR Based Written Exam

Age limit as on 20 May 2023:

  • General Category: 18-25 years
  • OBC: 18-28 years
  • SC category: 18-30 years

Age relaxation:

  • Up to 45 years for ESM
  • Up to 7 years age relaxation for Chandigarh Home Guard Volunteers

Exam Pattern:

  • Total no. of questions: 100
  • Marks allotted to each question: 1
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 70 minutes for each subject
  • Negative marking: 25% of each incorrect answer
  • Cut off marks for written exam: 40% for General, 35% for SC & OBC category, 30% for ESM category
